Free Outdoor Summer Movie Series at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

The popular Intrepid Summer Movie Series presented by Bank of America returns on select Fridays throughout the summer and will honor “Heroes of the Big Screen” in 2010. The unique series offers members of the public the opportunity to watch classic films for free on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier Intrepid, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), in Manhattan.

The remaining schedule of film screenings is as follows:
Friday, July 9: “Ghostbusters”
Friday, July 23: “The Goonies”
Friday, August 6: “Raiders of the Lost Ark”
Friday, August 20: “Rocky”
Seating at the screening will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors are encouraged to bring food and beverages to the screening, however alcohol is not permitted.

This sounds great but I'm too far from New York. On the other hand, I live close to a well-known event center in Denver, Colorado where they also hold free summer movie series. As for me, going there and enjoying a good movie is such an excellent escape from the summer heat!

Without a doubt, the reason why the event centers in Denver, Colorado are becoming a popular destination is because it's a great place to unwind while spending quality time with family and friends.

Have a great time at the movies!!
