Where You Can Find Me

Where You'll FInd Me Friday

I apologize for my silence here on the blog as of late. Call it a combination of working full time and raising kids. Then there were the holidays. We went to Montreal and Vermont for a week, for a bit of skiing, spa'ing, and relaxation. Stay tuned for more on that in future articles and clips. Meanwhile, I haven't been that quiet on the Internets. If you do a Google search, here's where you can find me.   Trekaroo San Antonio with Kids 48 Hours in Portland with Kids 48 Hours in Seattle with Kids 48 Hours in Vancouver with Read More

Where You Can Find Me

Where I’ve Been

Well, I've gone quiet again. It has been two weeks since my last post. I must admit that since 11/8, my heart is in other places and I've become quite the activist. Between work, graduate school and my advocacy work (for refugees in particular), I am up to my ears but I am still the Culture Mom! I'm still going to shows, traveling on assignment (London, Boston, Washington, DC, and Orlando, Florida most recently - yep, Disney!), reading (currently A Man Called Ove), seeing films (most recently Moonlight and LaLa Land - twice for each and two Read More

Where You Can Find Me

Happy holidays to everyone reading (anyone left?). I'm hanging out in Brooklyn with my teenager, playing hipsters, this weekend, still traumatized by the disastrous, sad news of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. The world will never be the same again. Both women left such a strong imprint on American culture, and I so hope that their spirits are joining up in heaven. I was a huge fan of Carrie Fisher when I was a teenager/young adult. I read all her books, hung onto her every word. She was so much more than Princess Leia. Don't get me wrong, I was a fan Read More

Where You’ll Find Me

Where You'll FInd Me Friday

I haven't been writing as much as of late, not due to a shortage of things to talk about, but mainly because of a workload that has been taking me away from doing some of the things I love. Yep, when you work full time, it's hard to partake in the things you love. Last week a business trip took me to Los Angeles, and I went a few days early and enjoyed the beauty of Southern California. I went boogie boarding in Santa Monica, dining in SilverLake, exploring in Pasadena and hiking in the Palisades. It was heaven, and a bonus, I was on my own, without the Read More

Where I’ve Been

Where I’ve Been

Forgive the silence once again, but life has been busy. With a home renovation, a full client list and kid obligations THROUGH THE ROOF, there has been little time to do many of the things I love. I look forward to moving back home so I can once again sustain my heavy appetite of culture and travel wanderlust. From Traveling... But my adventures haven't stopped completely. This past weekend, I was a guest of the Mont Tremblant tourist board and got to thoroughly explore (and ski) this amazing part of Canada. Stay tuned for that coverage here on the Read More

Where You’ll Find Me

where you'll find me

My international travels came to a crashing halt about six months ago, but they resume tomorrow as I head to Ireland with Insight Vacations. My physical therapy and healing process continues, but I'm really looking forward to going abroad. Meanwhile, I leave my kids in good hands while I'm away and carry their support with me as I embark on an adventure with other travel writers from around the world. I also just came back from the Society of American Travel Writers Association's conference in Las Vegas, where I spent five days networking and being Read More

Where I’ve Been

Since I last wrote a piece on where I've been, I've certainly fed into my strong, evergrowing wanderlust. I've circled the globe and have visited ah-mazing, breathtaking places like Hawaii, Mexico and Iceland.   I've been quiet on the blog because I'm currently on a wellness trip in Kauai. Yes, I mean Hawaii. Sometimes these trips come at exactly the right time and I feel very privileged to be on assignment here. I have had several articles featured on the web recently and wanted to share a few of the links.
