How I love New York.  Last night I left my house after a day of work, kid's stuff and the usual grind and headed into the city to catch a show at the Public called NO PLACE TO GO.  I was particularly excited because it meant a real night out at one of my favorite venues in the city, Joe's Pub.  Towards the end of the show, Ethan Lipton, the show's star, writer and composer also declared his love for NYC which completely resonated with me. Review: Compulsion at the Public Theater

  A long time fan of Mandy Patinkin, I was very excited to hear about his latest play, "Compulsion", which is part of my membership at the Public Theater.  I knew very little about it other than that it involved Anne Frank, the Holocaust, Israel and puppets, so naturally I was very curious. Theater obsessed – My NYC Fall Broadway and Off-Broadway Season

One of the reasons I  moved to NYC many years ago was simply one word: THEATER.  I get a rush after a good show.  I thrive on good play writing, good acting, quality sets and direction.  I have memberships to many theaters in NYC so that I don't miss out.  It's a big of an addiction, but a healthy one.  There is nothing like a buzz I get after seeing a good performance.  I'm very crafty - I don't ever pay full-price for a play.  Read after each entry about how I manage to see a play on a budget, mainly through memberships.
