Support Women With Breast Cancer with CancerCare. It’s Easy and Important.

I’m particularly excited to write this post because it’s SO important. I also just happened to go for my yearly mammogram, so breast cancer is definitely on my mind as I nervously await my own results. As a thyroid cancer survivor, I don’t take these exams lightly AT ALL, and neither should you. My mother is a lung cancer survivor and she’s been in remission for several years. But we both know the fight is never over.

This may be a sponsored post but I feel very passionate about this cause as I have known too many women who have fallen to breast cancer. The Tic Tac®  brand has partnered with CancerCare, a national non-profit organization that provides free professional support services to anyone affected by the illness, as well as information to help people manage the emotional, practical and financial challenges of cancer.  CancerCare was founded in 1944 and has helped one million people each year throughout the U.S. and distributes more than $30 million in financial assistance.

October just so happens to be Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In its tenth year partnering with CancerCare, The Tic Tac®  brand is donating $50,000 to the non-profit as part of its 2014 Shake, Share & Care® campaign.  Check out Strawberry Fields Tic Tac mints with special edition packaging to help show your support.

  • Sunday, September 14 at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT. You can get more info and sign up here.

I’ll be at the November 2nd event, no question, in honor of my mother.
