I am genuinely excited for the new show Parenthood to hit the airwaves on Tuesday right after Lost. I like most of the shows/films that Ron Howard and Brian Grazer produce and this should be no exception. I love, love, love its stars Lauren Graham (of Gilmore Girls fame) and Peter Kraus (from my 2nd favorite show of all time, Six Feet Under - my 1st was Sex in the City, in case you were wondering).
Like other moms, I appreciate good depictions of how hard, but rewarding, being a mom can be. Watching Family Ties or Cosby Show today, I realize that I do watch TV differently. I think about my connection to the moms being portrayed and tend to compare their lives to mine.
I hope that this show speaks to me, I have big hopes for it.
I've heard so much good stuff about this!!! can't wait.
