NYRP’s Annual Little Red House Lighthouse Festival at Fort Washington Park

The New York Restoration Project (NYRP), in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and New York City Council Member Robert Jackson, presents the annual Little Red Lighthouse Festival along the banks of the Hudson River. This year’s festival, located in scenic northern Manhattan’s Fort Washington Park, will shine a light (green light, of course!) on music and the arts and will take place on Saturday, September 25th from 11am-4pm.

A favorite amongst NYC families for many years, the Little Red Lighthouse Festival celebrates the historic lighthouse located along the Hudson River, as well as all of the beauty and benefits our city’s great outdoors provides. Held from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, this event will feature a variety of eco-inspired and art-themed programming, ranging from lighthouse cookie decorating to interactive arts, hands-on craft activities and musical instrument making. Participants will even get the opportunity to partake in a dance workshop with performers from the Tony-Winning Best Musical BILLY ELLIOT.

Additional festival highlights include a special guest reading of the children’s classic book – The Little Red and the Great Grey Bridge – performances by local youth groups, lighthouse tours guided by NYC Park Rangers and flavorful festival food
