Join me and Kids Club 13 at the Children’s Fair at the Brooklyn Museum

Hey, you guys!!!!!! Come see an interactive performance with Jessica and Shock, plus Electric Company goodies and more.
Join Kids Club Thirteen (and The Culture Mom, I’ll be there!) at the Brooklyn Museum on Saturday, November 13th!

  • The Brooklyn Museum’s fourth annual Children’s Book Fair will feature more than thirty-five newly published stories by Brooklyn-based authors and illustra
    tors. Meet your favorite Brooklyn authors, and engage hands-on art activities, book signings, and readings.
  • Come sing, dance, and meet Jessica and Shock, stars of The Electric Company—the modern re-creation of the 1970s classic that unlocked the power of words by speaking to its audience in the voice of their generation.
  • Check out the Kids Club Thirteen table at the Book Fair for more information on Kids Club Thirteen, free PBS Kids goodies, coloring pages, activity sheets, raffle giveaways, and more*!

Event Schedule


Children’s Book Fair
noon to 4 p.m.  More than 30 Brooklyn authors and illustrators will join us at the fair, which features story books, picture books, and graphic novels. Author readings, a game for children, and café service will be offered.


Electric Company live show
4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Kids Club Thirteen presents a free interactive performance by Shock and Jessica of the Electric Company. Stick around after the show for a meet-and-greet with Shock and Jessica, including autograph signings and a photo op.
Suggested Member Activities


Author Book Readings – 1 p.m, 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
Readings of the following books by their authors: “Matilda and the Orange Balloon” by Randall de Sève, “Black Magic” by R. Gregory Christie, & “The Butt Book” by Artie Bennett
