The Culture Mom appeals to urban moms not ready to trade in sushi for Happy Meals. The Culture Mom is a gallant, worldly irreverent, urban explorer with broad cultural interests. We’re passionate about travel, film, TV, reading, music, art and new experiences, both for us and our children.
The Culture Mom’s mission is to enliven moms and cultivate kids by showing how accessible and fun cultural and travel experiences, in New York City and beyond, can be in everyday life. We don’t view children as constraints to our lives, but show it is vital for moms to maintain and share their passions with their children for real quality time.
Holly Rosen Fink, the site’s editor and founder, has a career that spans the world of television and publishing, including positions at Lifetime Television, Nickelodeon/MTV and John Wiley & Sons where she worked closely with Arthur and Pauline Frommer to promote their brand. As a marketing consultant her current client list includes Ruckus Media Group and has included other major publishers. She is also now founder of Culture Mom Media, a marketing consultancy that focuses on mindful social media, and WestchesterIRL, a social media meet-up.
She is a frequent contributor to Family Vacation Critic, AChildGrows.com, Ciao Bambino, CBS New York, The Savvy Source, Kidzvuz, Travel Savvy Mom and Project You Magazine. Last year she edited Come Closer: How Tourism is Shaping the Future of Nations.
Advocacy is an important part of her work. She has contributed to the ABC Million Mom Campaign, ONE Moms mission. Last year she was featured on ABC Nightline and Good Morning, America talking about hunger in the U.S. Earlier this year, she spearheaded two very successful fundraising campaigns for St. Jude Hospital and Room to Grow. She is currently working closely with Save the Children and Room to Read (the Westchester chapter, for which she handles their social media outreach). She is also on the Larchmont Committee on the Arts and runs the online marketing for the Larchmont Arts Festival.
She was recently an Associate Producer on The Best of Everything at the Here Theater and is currently Producer of the NYC production of Listen to Your Mother coming to Symphony Space this spring. She lives in Larchmont, NY with her husband and two children.
